At Billesley Scouts, we believe that every young person deserves the chance to take part in Scouting - to learn new skills, build confidence, and make memories that last a lifetime. Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, and whatever your ability or background, there’s a place for you here.

Scouting is all about doing, trying, and growing together. From our youngest Squirrels to our oldest Explorers, every section offers something new - adventures outdoors, creative projects, community action, and space to make friends for life. We help young people take the lead, learn by doing, and find out what they’re really capable of.

Inclusion isn’t an add-on for us - it’s part of who we are. We celebrate difference and make sure everyone feels welcome and supported. We know that every young person’s journey is unique, so we adapt to meet their needs.

That could mean:

  • Changing how we run an activity so everyone can join in safely and confidently
  • Working closely with families to understand what extra support is needed
  • Offering financial help with fees, uniforms, or equipment so cost never gets in the way
  • Making it easy to try Scouting through trial sessions and flexible age boundaries
  • Training our volunteers so they can create positive, inclusive spaces for everyone
  • Partnering with local schools, charities, and community groups to reach more young people
