Be part of something bigger.

Share your time, skills and enthusiasm, and help create experiences young people will remember.

Come and be apart of it.

You don’t need to be an expert. Just bring your time, energy and willingness to give it a go.

Our volunteers are what make 325th Birmingham (1st Billesley) possible. Every week, they give their time to help young people try new things, build confidence, make friends and discover skills for life.

There’s no one way to volunteer with us. You could help run activities, support a section, get involved behind the scenes, lend a hand at events or share a skill you already have.

You don’t need years of Scouting experience, and you don’t need to know every knot in the book. We’ll support you along the way, helping you find a role that works for you and giving you the chance to learn as you go.

As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a friendly community, learn new skills and have the opportunity to make a real difference to young people in Billesley and beyond. Come and join us - you could be the person who helps someone discover what they’re capable of.

There’s more than one way to get involved

Whether you’re looking to support our group, lend a hand or get involved as a young person, there’s a place for you.

Support our group
Businesses and organisations can help us give young people even more opportunities. Find out how your company can sponsor our group and support Scouting in Billesley.

Minibus hire
Our minibus is available for hire by other Scout Groups and youth organisations, helping you get young people to camps, activities and adventures.

Volunteer vacancies
We’re always looking for people who can bring their time, skills and enthusiasm to our team. Take a look at our current volunteer opportunities and see where you could make a difference.

Youth volunteering
Want to take your next step in Scouting? Our youth volunteering opportunities give young people the chance to build skills, gain experience and make a difference while having fun.

Are you better suited to help as a decision maker, direction setter or an arranger?

Our Group Executive Committee is like the Board of Governors at a school. They're responsible for making sure that every young person gets the best possible experience in the local area, and exist to support the Group Scout Leader and Group Management Team in making Scouting available to the young people of Billesley and the surrounding areas.

As well as keeping an eye on the governance of the Group, they also make sure that the Group has enough money, resources and volunteers to deliver the programme effectively and safely. Being part of the Executive Committee is a rewarding and challenging way of supporting Scouting, and we ensure that any person who wishes to take part is given the training and resources they need.

Anyone can be an Executive Committee member and trustee, but people who have experience as part of a management team, legal or finance professions, with good social skills and links with the local business community will really help, as will skills in computing or decision making.

If you're interested in taking part, you can get in touch, or come along to our next Annual General Meeting, details of which you will find in our News section.
