At the heart of every thriving Scouting community lies the dedication and enthusiasm of its members, and we’re shining a spotlight on one exceptional individual at Billesley Scout Group who exemplifies the spirit of Scouting.

Charlie’s journey with us began when he was just 7 years old. Joining as a Beaver, he has moved through Cubs and now proudly stands among our Scouts. But it’s not merely the passage of time that defines Charlie’s scouting experience.

He’s a fierce proponent of the Group, and his commitment, growth, and the contributions he’s made along the way have turned him into one of our best. Recently, outside of Scouts, Charlie demonstrated remarkable poise when he stepped up to assist one of our leaders who had fallen while they were at an ice skating event together. Drawing upon his first aid training, he stepped up and provided support in a time of need.

It’s moments like these that truly showcase the essence of Scouting: preparedness, selflessness, and the unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand. Charlie’s quick thinking and proficiency in first aid didn’t go unnoticed and, today, we are thrilled to announce that Charlie has received a special award from Adam, our District Commissioner, in recognition of his efforts.

Join us in congratulating Charlie on this well-deserved honour. We’re super proud of him, and hope that his journey will inspire others.
