Join 325th Birmingham, 1st Billesley Scouts
Being a Scout is about more than camping, hiking, climbing and abseiling. We do plenty of that, but it’s also about making new friends, spending time with the ones you already have, learning new skills, taking on challenges, working as part of a team, doing things well and, most importantly, giving things a go.
Everyone is welcome at 325th Birmingham 1st Billesley Scout Group, regardless of gender, race, religion, background or physical ability. Each week, people from across Billesley and the surrounding area come through our doors to have fun, play games, try new things and learn useful skills they can take with them into the real world.
We challenge every young person to step outside their comfort zone, try something they’ve never done before and discover what they’re capable of. Things won’t always go to plan, and that’s part of the adventure. We encourage our members to learn from their experiences, pick themselves up and have another go.
And while we’re pretty good at pitching tents, building fires and tying knots, Scouting is about so much more than traditional outdoor skills. We help young people develop the confidence, independence and practical skills they need for school, college and sixth form, university, job interviews, public speaking, tricky challenges and the big dreams they have for the future.
We call it Skills for Life. It’s about learning new things, building on the skills you already have and discovering what makes you tick. Whether that’s archery, shooting, baking, coding, music, writing or something completely different, there’s an adventure out there for everyone.
At 325th Birmingham 1st Billesley Scout Group, we’re here to help young people find theirs. Because the best kind of learning doesn’t always feel like learning - it feels like fun, friendship and an adventure worth remembering.
