We're 325th Birmingham, 1st Billesley Scout Group
We’re a thriving Scout group in Billesley, Birmingham, creating a place to belong, building skills for life, and offering outdoor and adventurous experiences for all young people aged 4 to 18.
Come and join the adventure at 325th Birmingham Scout Group - a place to belong, try something new and make memories that last.Founded in 2013 with support from The Scout Association and a grant from the Youth United Fund, 325th Birmingham, 1st Billesley Scout Group opened its doors to our first members on Tuesday 26 November 2013. Since then, we’ve continued to grow while keeping the same strong community spirit at the heart of our group.
We were created to give young people in our local area the opportunity to experience adventure, both indoors and outdoors, while learning practical skills they can carry with them throughout life. From camps and outdoor activities to creative projects, challenges and new experiences, we give our members plenty of opportunities to try something different and discover what they’re capable of.
Scouting is for everyone. We welcome young people from all backgrounds and aim to create a place where everyone can feel comfortable, included and able to take part. Each week, our sections give young people aged 4 to 18 the chance to build confidence, develop independence, work as a team and learn skills that can help them at school, college, university, work and beyond.
Our aim is simple: to make a positive difference to the lives of our members and our local community. We support the people around us, care for the environment we call home and encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Since 2013, we’ve been building a group where adventure starts, friendships grow and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Everything you need to know as a parent of someone getting involved in Scouting
Generally, children who are involved in Scouting will be more confident, more responsible and have a broader set of friends than those who are not. An independent survey of over 2,000 parents discovered that 9 out of 10 parents said that Scouting was worthwhile, and that their children found Scouting enjoyable.
We've got a lot of information, and answers to some of the most commonly asked questions - and if your's isn't, you can always ask us!

We give our young members as many adventurous outdoor activities as we can
Each section's ultimate goal is simple: to give every young person the opportunity to achieve the highest award - the coveted Chief Scout's and Queen's Scout Awards - for every section they're part of.
Obtaining the top award in any section is a huge achievement, which involves demonstrating practical skills, leadership, and a sense of adventure.
During the warmer months of the year, we try to ensure that our young people have access to as wide a selection of adventurous activities as possible, away from our meeting place.
Because we have our own minibus, we have more freedom to take our members to places around the United Kingdom that they ordinarily wouldn't visit.
We normally meet at Holy Cross Church.
You can find us at Holy Cross Church on Beauchamp Road, situated on the edge of Billesley Common and easily accessible from Yardley Wood Road and Brook Lane.
