Help shape the future of Scouting in Billesley and make a difference to young people in our community.

Our Trustee Board plays an important role in making sure 325th Birmingham (1st Billesley) Scout Group is well governed, properly resourced and able to provide a safe, positive and rewarding experience for every young person. Working alongside the Group Scout Leader and Group Management Team, trustees help oversee the Group’s governance, finances, resources and long-term direction.

You don’t need to have been involved in Scouting before to become a trustee. We welcome people from a range of backgrounds and provide the training and resources needed to take on the role. Experience in management, finance, legal work, decision-making, computing or working with local businesses and organisations can be particularly valuable, as can good communication and people skills.

This is a rewarding opportunity to use your skills, experience and connections to support a local community organisation and help us create a place to belong, build Skills for Life and give young people more opportunities to thrive.

Great reasons to volunteer

You don’t need to be Dwayne Fields to volunteer with Scouts – we’ve already got him as our Chief Scout – but if you're a smiler, an inspirer, an activity planner, a great tea-maker, the best sandwich-maker in Warwick, or a really good all rounder, then you could be amazing for Scouts, and Scouts could be amazing for you.

Here are just some of the amazing reasons:

  • Share your experience and skills with young people while developing yourself
  • Have fun and meet new people in the area
  • Inspire a generation (who will never forget what you did for them)

We’ll give you a warm welcome, make sure that you have all the support you need, give you access to easy-to-understand training and resources online, and the flexibility to get involved in a way that works for you.

At Scouts, every week is different, amazing and rewarding - for everyone that takes part.
